The ClarionStrategy Team includes several consultants with decades of experience in a number of fields including higher education, healthcare, finance, nonprofits, and startups.
Rick Mann, PhD
Rick Mann is the Managing Director of ClarionStrategy. He also serves as Professor of Leadership and Strategy and Director of MBA and DBA programs at Trevecca Nazarene University. Rick has served in a number of leadership roles both in the US and overseas including President of Crown College (MN).
Rick has an MBA from the University of Minnesota, an MDiv from Ambrose University (Canada), and an MA and PhD from Ohio State University
David Tarrant, MBA
David Tarrant has over 25 years of experience as a finance leader in a variety of for-profit and nonprofit roles. He has a passion for results and finding innovative solutions to business challenges using experience gained in strategic planning, operational excellence, and decision support.
He currently serves as Senior Vice President and CFO at the Engage Technology Group. Previously, David served as the CFO at three universities. In the past he also served as the North American Director of Finance, Pricing and Analysis for Whirlpool Corporation, the Controller of Whirlpool Canada, and various financial and analytical roles for Vickers Incorporated and Trinova Corporation. David earned his MBA from Crown College.
Brandee Norris, PhD
Brandee has served in a wide variety of academic and healthcare leadership roles where she was integrally involved in decision-making, strategic planning, and execution of innovative measures to enhance daily operations. Dr. Norris currently serves as Associate Professor in Healthcare Leadership at the Skinner School of Business and Technology at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.
Due to her “only the best can do” attitude, Norris, is committed to partnering with other stakeholders within the health profession to coach, mentor, and evolve new innovative healthcare leaders. She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on the board for the local chapter (ACHEMT) as Chair-Elect for the membership committee. Brandi has an MS in Health Services Administration as well as a PhD in Human Services with a specialization in Healthcare Administration.
Phil Rickard, PhD
Phil has served in leadership roles for over 30 years in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. He possesses expertise in multiple areas of financial reporting and cost management derived from roles in corporate accounting, nonprofit administration and higher education service.
Dr. Rickard currently serves as Professor of Accounting and Strategy at Trevecca Nazarene University. Phil has an MBA from Marshall University, a DBA from Northcentral University with specializations in Advanced Accounting and Public Administration.
Andrew Hoskins, MA
Andrew Hoskins has led and taught multicultural teams for the past two decades. He spent the first 17 years of his career living and working across multiple countries in Africa: Niger, Mali, Ethiopia, Liberia, and Uganda. He is currently the Vice President of International Programs for The Exodus Road, a nonprofit fighting to disrupt global human trafficking.
Andrew is currently completing a DBA at Trevecca Nazarene University. He holds an MA in International Development from the University of South Carolina. He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and a Proci Certified Change Management Practitioner.
